Prerequisites:

🤸‍♀️ This class requires recent sewing machine experience — this is not a learn-to-sew class. Students who have taken [Sewing 101] or a private lessons with me tend to be the most prepared, as my teaching style builds the strong foundation for all other classes. That said, if you feel confident, you know yourself best! This note is simply here to make sure you're set up to enjoy every minute — not spend it catching up or unlearning old habits. If your not sure if you meet the prerequisite - reach out I’d love to chat this over with you!

👉Note: This class is for adults. If you're interested in classes for kids or teens, email me to inquire!

What is Included:

🛠️ All tools, notions, and instruction for the workshop.
💃Demo and guide instruction for creating a standard zipper pouch
👯‍♀️Co-creation time to create as many pouches as you can!
👉Note: This does not include materials. Materials can be purchased separately or brought from home.

What do I need to bring?

To create your standard zipper pouch you will need:

  • 1/4 yard cotton woven fabric for the outside of the bag (quilter’s cotton, canvas, or denim)

  • 1/4 yard cotton woven fabric for the inside of the bag (quilter’s cotton, canvas, or denim)

  • ½ yard light to medium weight fusible interfacing

  • 6” regular closed zipper

  • 100% polyester thread in a matching color

Remaining Pouches:
The amount of materials you need will depend on the number and size of pouches you make. A good place to start is with the zipper length because that decide the width of your pouch.

  • Closed regular zippers in different lengths

  • yard cotton woven fabric for the inside of the bag (quilter’s cotton, canvas, or denim)

  • light to medium weight fusible interfacing

👉Note: If the materials brought by the student are not appropriate for the project or they forget them, students can purchase provided materials at the time of class for full price.
