Sew-lidarity: Patchwork-folio
Meet new friends and practice sustainable making, while we redistribute funds to our wider community in this 2.5-hour sewing class. We will create patchwork portfolios that are perfect for protecting your journal, iPad, library book, hopes & dreams.
This class will be run a little different than most, although we will develop new skills and create a functional and creative project; the most important thing we will gain is the time spent together creating, and the funds we gather to give. All materials will be provided for this class and 100% of profits will go to Immigrant Rapid Response Fund through Women’s Foundation of Minnesota.
📆 Sunday 2/15 5:30pm-8:00pm
Can’t make this class? Joining any other class this month is the support that allows me to offer this one. I also invite you to make a donation of your own by checking out Stand with Minnesota for a list of vetted orgs!
We will cover things like:
🪡 Proper pinning and cutting
🪡 Patchworking techniques
🪡 Repurposing scrap fabric & fabric 101
🪡 How to construct a patchwork portfolio
Prerequisites:
🐣 Sewing experience required - either a Sewing 101 class or a Private Lesson with me. If you want to discuss your prior experience reach out.
What is Included:
🛠️ All tools, notions, and instruction for the workshop.
