Sewing 101 – Reversible Tote is a 3-hour beginner sewing class. By the end, you’ll complete your own reversible tote bag to flip, reverse, and take home with pride!

We will cover things like:

🪡 How to use a sewing machine
🪡 How to work with a pattern
🪡 Proper pinning and cutting techniques
🪡 Fabric 101
🪡 How to construct a reversible tote bag

Prerequisites:

🐣 No sewing experience required! Perfect for first-timers, absolute beginners, or anyone in need of a hands-on refresher.
👉Note: This class is for adults. If you're interested in classes for kids or teens, email me to inquire!

What is Included:

🛠️ All tools, notions, and instruction for the workshop.
👉Note: This does not include materials. Materials can be purchased separately or brought from home (see below).

What do you need to bring?

You choose to have me provide your materials for an addition discounted fee by adding [Reversible Bag Materials] to your order or bring the following to create a reversible tote bag (e.g., fabric and bag strap):

  • ½ yard cotton woven fabric for the outside of the bag (quilter’s cotton, canvas, or denim)

  • ½ yard cotton woven fabric for the inside of the bag (quilter’s cotton, canvas, or denim)

  • 1.5 yards of 1” webbing strap

👉Note: If the materials brought by the student are not appropriate for the project or they forget them, students can purchase provided materials at the time of class for full price.
